Welcome to Days out in London
Here come the girls: mother and daughter adventure days out
An exciting day out is not only something for the boys to enjoy – mothers and daughters should get out and do adventuresome things together every once in a while. Here are some ideas for designing a perfectly thrilling day out:
Home to the British Grand Prix, there is plenty of excitement and thrills to be had at Silverstone. With many different seating options, you can spend a day near the track or seated on one of the comfortable grandstands in the shade.
Take a hike
A picnic and a hike can be a great way to spend a day, or if you are feeling particularly daring, the night. Tarka Trail in north Devon runs along old railroad tracks, is frequented by cyclists and makes for a good hike. There are countless trails throughout the UK that can offer beautiful scenery and the chance to chat and snack while getting away from the hustle and bustle.
Take a class together
While some classes take several sessions there are some that can be done in a day. Pick a subject that you both will like, such as painting or photography. Consider signing up for classes that give you several days out together over the next few weeks. If you choose a class where you make something then you will both have a cherished memento to remember your time together.
Dinner, but not just any place will do
Perhaps you and your daughter have always wanted to check out that really nice restaurant in the next town over? Why not plan a fun-filled dinner for just the two of you? Dressing up and going out together gives you a chance to relax and catch up on what each other has been doing.
A professional photo session of just the two of you can be a lot of fun. Ask the photographer to take a number of candid shots and then have some fun dressing up and staging photos. These memories are something that you can pass down within your family in the years to come. You can combine a photo session with other activities for a full day out.
Creative days out bring you closer together
It is easy to get in a rut when it comes to days out. Planning something different and exciting with your daughter shows that you care and want to experience new and exciting things with her. Once you plan one totally different day out then you will both be encouraged to plan more in the future. There is no better time than now to start spending more quality time with your daughter.
